Today is the Independent Science Hunt Activities (Part 2). This time the activity was for all Form 5 members which was held by the Form 3 members. Let’s take look what did the Form 3 members prepared for the Form 5 members!

They are trying their best to complete their mission so they could move on to the next game
This game is about drinking the water in your cup and answer the questions. If you fail to answer the question, you have to drink it again. The members drank a lot of water and finally the completed their mission.
It was the first time for the Form 3 members to held this kind of activity. It was a great success! The members had a wonderful time and made an unforgettable memories together.

Today is the DIY Candles Making Day. All the members have brought their own materials to make their own DIY candles. The materials which are needed to make the candles are oil, hardener, crayon, container, wick and aluminium foil. Let’s take a look on how the members make their own DIY candles.
Stir the oil fist. Make sure don’t get burn by the hot oil or the fire.
Once you are done stirring the oil, let the oil cool first. Once it is cool, pour the oil into a container.
Next, choose a crayon with the colour you like and break it into small pieces to add it into the oil. Make sure to stir the oil until it turns colour.
Use the aluminium foil to wrap around the inside of the container and pour the colour oil in. Add wick into the oil too and wait until the oil completely cool and turns into solid. There you will have your own DIY Candle.
Try making the candle by yourself, it is fun. But make sure to be careful when handling the hot oil. You don’t want to burn yourself, do you?

Today is the third meeting for the afternoon session’s Science and Technology Club . We will do a home made ice cream – without a freezer !
The materials we will use in this activity is a few bags of salt , a big container , a plastic mold , two bags of ice and flavoured drinks .
At first , we have to pour our flavoured drinks into the plastic mold and tie the mold tightly . Secondly , fill in the container with ice mixed with salt . Thirdly , put the plastic mold into the container filled with ice mixed with salt and close your container properly . The last thing you need to do to get your home made ice cream is to shake your container with the greatest strength as you can for at least 10 minutes . Then , your home made ice cream is done ! It’s just so easy and fun !
The reason why the flavoured drink is turning into ice cream after shaking in a container filled with ice mixed with salt is because when you lower a container of liquid into a mass of ice mixed with salt , the ice and salt react , drawing heat away from the liquid freezing it relatively quickly . This way was famously used by people before the freezing machinery and the course motorised delivery vehicles have been invented .

Students are so happy and excited to taste the ice cream they made themselves ! The ice cream looks so tasty !
It was a successful activity since that all of our members have a great time on doing their home made ice cream and they all have learned about the reason of why is the flavoured drinks is turning into an ice cream when it was been shake in a container filled with ice mixed with salt .
